Montpellier is an active member of the PRCA

The Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA) is the world's leading trade body promoting the highest standards of practice in PR for PR consultancies and in-house PR departments. Guy Woodcock, Montpellier's CEO, is himself a board director of the PRCA and chair of the PRCA for both the South West and Wales Regions.

All PRCA members are required to hold the Consultancy Management Standard (CMS) - the hallmark of PR excellence. Combining elements of ISO9001 and Investors in People with criteria specific to a PR consultancy, the CMS was introduced in 1998 and is now the default quality mark for PR, used by PR consultancies and in-house departments in 11 countries around the world.

How does a PR agency benefit from CMS?
• It's proof of a well-run business, with all the correct systems and structures in place
• It demonstrates that staff have a real commitment to their development

How does a client benefit from CMS?
• You will have peace of mind you are buying a professional service from a PR consultancy that's committed to excellence
• You will have the assurance that all CMS-accredited PR agencies are well-run businesses that adopt best practices in all areas of their organisation

No PRCA member agency can rest on their laurels once they've attained the CMS standard. Accredited agencies are continually assessed and have a formal review every two years, where they are rigorously tested by an independent auditor.
